Programs
Kids Bowl Free this Summer
This program is designed to give back to the community and provide a safe, secure, and fun way for kids to spend time this summer.
Families that register will receive coupons valid for Two Free Bowling Games each day sent to their email address every Sunday morning from May 10 until the conclusion of the program, September 12, 2010. Children, ages 19 and under, are eligible to register for 2 free games a day, all summer long.
Young and beginning bowlers are enjoying the Bowlopolis Kid's Club Saturday mornings at 8:30 AM. It's too late to join this group now, but they will start a new "season" of the club in the summer. In the meantime, check out BOWLOPOLIS to learn about the imaginary bowling center. There are new adventures in every frame! And don't forget to pick up the newest episode of the Bowlopolis adventure DVD. See your friends at our front desk for the latest DVD.
Youth League Bowling
Older and more experienced youth are encouraged to participate in Match Point on Saturday afternoon at 5:00 PM. Families enjoy the fun of bowling together in our Sunday afternoon Adult/Youth League. See the League page for details.
Grand Prix Scholarships One of the greatest things about bowling at Holiday Lanes is that youth can earn scholarship dollars for every game bowled in leagues or tournaments. For just $2 a year, youth are enrolled in the Louisiana Grand Prix Scholarship Program. If a student sticks with it throughout their school years, the money they have accumulated will be paid to any college of their choice upon graduation. The scholarship fund currently holds $683,000!
High School Varsity Bowling Holiday Lanes is home to Bossier and Caddo Parish High School Varsity Bowling. The competitive bowling season begins in mid-January with amboree and goes through Spring Break. Meets are held twice a week. The competition is great, so come out and support your team.
In School Bowling The Bowling Proprietors Association of America has developed a multi-displinary curriculum, free to teachers, for elementary and middle schools to teach bowling in their school gyms. Holiday Lanes has 12 portable bowling lanes available for loan to schools to use along with the free curriculum. The kits consist of a 20 foot long carpet marked like a bowling lane, 10 weighted plastic pins and a 4 or 5 lb bowling ball. For more information or to reserve lanes for your school, call Cheryl LaCour-Reine at (318) 746-7331.
Open Bowling Children of all ages are welcome to come enjoy our smoke-free environment. We can accommodate even the youngest bowler with automatic bumpers and light-weight balls. Come play with us.
